Automatic bale adjustment: learn how to use

Indumak automatic balers are ideal for speeding up the production of different types of bales, serving many segments of the industry. Coonected with packVFFS, the balers give flow to the production process, efficiently automating the end of the production line.

But what is automatic bale adjustment?

Automatic Bale Adjustment is a system that allows the baler to recognize how far to lift the shaper’s auxiliary tray, then close the jaw and thereby close the bale.

The capacity of this device follows the Indumak balers and is not a point where it can generate performance losses.

Basically there is a sensor just below the jaw, which limits the rise of the molding aid. When this sensor recognizes that the formed bale has risen to it, it stops raising the molder’s auxiliary tray, allowing the jaw to close.

It is not necessary to use any type of additional safety system, in addition to what Indumak machines already has, as it is an internal device in the baler itself.

What does it take for this system to work properly?

It is very important that the operator leaves this sensor very well adjusted and clean, so that a good reading occurs and also so that there are no variations in the bale. This system makes the headspace (space that is without product) of the bale standardized, preventing process failures.

Discover the practical benefits of this device:

  • Tight bale;
  • Standardized bale, no need to use photocell;
  • Less waste/use of plastic;
  • Greater stability in palletizing.

What is the headspace for?

The headspace is the space that is left without the product inside the package. In addition to saving material, a well-fitting headspace prevents the product from scattering and crumpling during transport.

In addition to these precautions, the bale must also contain the exact number of packages for which it was designed. By making the bale as compact as possible, it saves on raw material and ensures that the product arrives intact at its destination: the customer.
